Bubbles the Clown...

How I became "Bubbles"...

Pastor Paul Whitley and his wife Karen asked me if I would mind being a clown for the children's Program we were doing. I said I would love to be a clown! Pastor Paul said my name needed to be "Bubbles" because I was always so bubbly. I loved it!!

Being a clown  here in Peru was one of the most incredible things I have ever done. These beautiful children embraced me with pure love. They made this experience remarkable!

Marietta Robinson nicknamed "Mari Sunshine" by me did the cutest  little skit with "Bubbles" she made chocolate cake...yummy... except she had a very special ingredient that she put in her cake...it was CAT FOOD...YUCK!!!

The children would get soooo upset because they wanted cake "Bubbles" felt like she would throw up!!!! The kids laughed at me as I held my nose and gagged. Mari Sunshine said she didn't think she wanted to do that skit again because she thought those babies were going to cry when she put the cat food in the cake mix!

They were pretty upset! The cat  food was a representation of sin. It was only just a little bit! Aha Ha ... does a little bit of sin still count? It was way to much fun. It was a little bit of "Heaven" for me in Peru. The blessings I have received from these precious children fills my heart with abundance...

Antonella is the child of my heart...If I had stayed in Peru much longer I think I would have brought her home with me...It was love at first sight for me..What a beautiful child of God she is...

Bubbles always set a good example and said her prayers...

I remember one day I was walking down the street trying to get the kids to come and see the show. I was dancing and blowing bubbles then all of the sudden this little dog started barking at me and at first I didn't think anything about it until...

All of the bigger dogs started to get in on the act! Suddenly I was surrounded by dogs and I had this vision of being rushed to the hospital in a clown suit! I thought how will I explain that story?

Then I started to laugh uncontrollably at the mere thought and the little dog bit the bottom of my clown suit and started growling! I just could not stop laughing at the total absurdity of the situation! =) When all of the sudden pastor Juan heard all the commotion and came running to my aid, then another man from the church saw what was going on and they both went to rescue "Bubbles" from her untimely attack from the local canine club!

I still chuckle when I think of that...I mean...me in a clown suit...in an ambulance really how would you ever top that story!!!

The fact is, that to do anything in the world worth doing, we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in and scramble through as well as we can.
