Rock Star Groupie? Biker Babe? Hmm... What's Next?

My daughter tells me I'm living my life backwards. What she means is when I was in my 20's I was married and raising babies, That continued until I was in my 40's then my now ex husband and I got a Harley and I became a "Biker Babe". We traveled around riding that motorcycle and even drove the Blue Ridge parkway. We had many good times on both of the bikes first the Road King and the Classic. I have many fond memories of those trips.

Now in my 50's I have become a "Rock Star Groupie". I'm not really a groupie anymore than I was a biker babe. I just realized that life is too short and you should experience as much of it as you can. My favorite quote by Mae West is you only live one but once is enough if you do it right. I think she was on to something. So I have tried out for Survivor I went to an open audition in Macon, and came so close to being on the Opera Winfrey show (her last season) that I cried when it didn't come through. I signed my release, sent in video, photos and talked with producers for over a 4 month time period (they liked my blog). I have had a children’s book published, done Mission work and traveled to many places all over the world. I'm not done yet either!

Now as far as groupie goes Duane was the one to introduce me to concerts. I have never sat more than 8 rows back center stage with him at a concert. Most of the time it has been the second or third row back. This has been a wonderful experience for me. I have been to see Motley Crew 3 times, Kiss (I got to meet Eric and Tommy and get a picture. Duane was a little jealous because Eric was flirting with me), Def leopard and Poison. I even got to meet Bret Michaels while he was in Atlanta get a picture and even stole a kiss from him. And he was nice enough to give me backstage passes at his next concert. I did give him and autographed copy of my children’s book for his daughters. The thing is I will never be a rock concert kind of gal BUT I can and do enjoy the experience of it all. I mean who wouldn't enjoy talking and getting photo opportunities with theses guys? I have enjoyed every second of it! It has been fun wild and unpredictable.

I can just scratch biker babe and groupie off my bucket list but what's next? Hmmm... maybe I will try out for the Amazing Race and even get a Novel published (I'm working on one called Taking Out The Trash Southern Style) or travel to Dubai, Thailand or China. I could climb Kilimanjaro? Who knows life is full of possibilities and I wouldn't want to miss one second of it! One thing is for sure my life is not boring!
